SAN BERNARDINO, CA (August 10, 2017) – Today, San Bernardino County Assessor-Recorder-Clerk Bob Dutton signed the 113th Supplemental Assessment Roll. Three times a year, a supplemental roll is provided by the Assessor to the county’s Auditor-Controller/Treasurer/Tax Collector, in addition to a yearly property assessment roll delivered in June.
Supplemental Assessment Roll #113 contains a net assessed value of $2,585,698,856 with a total of 12,524 parcels.
“I am pleased to report the signing of the 113th Supplemental Assessment Roll,” said San Bernardino County Assessor-Recorder-Clerk Bob Dutton. “As assessor, I want to make sure taxpayers are not being over-assessed on their properties. Supplemental Rolls help to better reflect true property values in our county, resulting in more fair and accurate assessments.”
State law requires county assessors to reappraise property upon a change in ownership or new construction to pick up changes in assessed value that occur in the middle of a fiscal year, whether an increase or decrease. Supplemental assessments are issued on real property such as land, improvements, fixtures and taxable possessory interests, but do not apply to personal property or any property not subject to Proposition 13.
