SAN BERNARDINO, CA (January 11, 2018) – Today, San Bernardino County Assessor-Recorder-Clerk Bob Dutton signed the 114th Supplemental Assessment Roll. Three times a year, a supplemental roll is provided by the Assessor to the County’s Auditor-Controller/Treasurer/Tax Collector in addition to the annual Property Assessment Roll delivered in June.
Supplemental Assessment Roll #114 contains a net assessed value of $5,738,878,234 with a total of 46,037 parcels of the 810,304 parcels located within the County of San Bernardino.
“I am pleased to report the signing and delivery of the 114th Supplemental Assessment Roll,” said San Bernardino County Assessor-Recorder-Clerk Bob Dutton. “With an uptick in commercial construction, residential construction, and new transfers in property ownership, the supplemental roll reflects healthy property value gains within the county and produces fair and accurate property assessments.”
State law requires county assessors to reappraise property upon a change in ownership or new construction to identify changes in assessed value that occur in the middle of a fiscal year, whether an increase or decrease. Supplemental assessments are issued on real property such as land, improvements, fixtures and taxable possessory interests, but do not apply to personal property or any property not subject to Proposition 13.
